Signed letter dated August 24, 1863, four pages, quarto, from Port Hudson, Louisiana. Written to Miss Jane Ann Walker of Northfield, Michigan. Consists of two separate letters, both mailed to Miss Walker, regarding the death of her brothers Morris G. Walker on June 30, 1862 by a shot through the neck and M.O. Walker on June 30, 1863 . Main letter is from McIlvain, a friend of M. G. Walker. Second letter is a note of the date and manner of each brother's death. |
