Scope & Content Confederate General Robert E. Rodes, who commanded a brigade in the Peninsular Campaign of May - June 1862, sends a report of Union movements to his commander Jubal A. Early. Rodes saw evidence that the Union battery was still occupied. Furthermore, the sharpshooters are annoying. Rodes welcomed the regiment's arrival to the site he designated.
